AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies are waiting on blood test results for a driver who crashed on Peach Orchard Road early Sunday morning.

25-year-old Michelle Riggs is already charged with failure to maintain lane after deputies say she had a flat tire on her Toyota Avalon and lost control just after midnight.

The car spun around just north of the Bobby Jones Expressway and hit a utility pole, breaking it in two. The steering wheel went into a passenger in the car, causing multiple injuries.

Riggs was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies are waiting on blood tests to see if DUI charges will be filed.
