Aiken officers nab Mississippi woman
Aiken Public Safety officers have captured a woman wanted by the Indianola Police Department in Mississippi.

AIKEN, S.C. – Officers with the Aiken Department of Public Safety have captured a woman wanted by the Indianola Police Department in Mississippi.
Officers initiated an early morning traffic stop on Whiskey Road of a suspected DUI. They discovered the driver, Linda Anne Byrd Smith, was wanted by the Indianola Police Department for allegedly shooting her husband.
Officers charged her with DUS second, illegal transport of legal liquor, and unlawful carrying of a pistol. She is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
