AIKEN, S.C.---A father and son were arrested yesterday during a search of homes in the 600 block of Flowing Wells Road in Wagener. Acting on a tip, investigators arrested Billy J. Hearn, 66, and his son Donald J. Hearn, 36.
Billy Hearn is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, attempting to manufacture meth and possession of a stolen firearm. Donald Hearn is charged with possession with intent to distribute meth.
Investigators served search warrants at 624 and 626 Flowing Wells Road and seized some meth and several firearms. Juvenile investigators also placed a 14-year-old girl in emergency protective custody.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety, North Augusta Department of Public Safety, Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Second Circuit Solicitor’s Office participated in the investigation.
Both men are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
