EDGEFIELD, S.C. -- A young woman’s concern for her sibling’s well being prompts her to report suggestive MySpace postings to deputies.

Earlier this month, an officer interviewed a young woman who had observed her sister receiving emails on her MySpace of a sexual nature. She became concerned due to the fact that her sister is a minor and the person emailing her sister admitted to being 23.

She showed copies of the emails to officers. The emails ranged from the suspect telling the minor he needed a girlfriend to more explicit. One email informed the suspect of the victim's age and told him she was too young for him.

After an investigation, deputies arrested Thomas Michael Sherlock of North Augusta on charges of criminal solicitation of a minor.
