Woman arrested for robbery, and stealing police patrol car
Richmond County Deputies have arrested a woman who is accused of stealing a patrol car.

AUGUSTA Ga.-- Richmond County deputies have arrested a woman who is accused of stealing a patrol car.
Investigators tell us that Edward Lamont Murdaugh and Ronda Matthews were arrested Sunday night for an attempted robbery in the Deans Bridge Rd. area. We're told they were pulled over and arrested.
Investigators tell us that Ronda Matthews then crawled through the partition in the deputy's car and drove off. They chased her for a few miles and took her back into custody.
Ronda Matthews has been charged with theft by taking, attempting to elude an officer, interference with government property, armed robbery, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.
Edward Murdaugh is charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a crime, and a altered identification mark.
This case has been turned over to internal affairs. They will be conducting an investigation into this incident.
