Update: Woman killed in Barnwell County
The Barnwell County Sheriff's Office confirms that a woman was killed Tuesday evening.

BARNWELL SC.-- The Barnwell County Sheriff's Office confirms that a woman was killed Tuesday evening.
Investigators tell News 12 they got a call around 3:15 Tuesday afternoon to assist EMS at a home at 2446 Highway 70. When they arrived they found Denise Michelle Jonican dead in the house.
Her husband, Samuel Bruce Jonican was missing. Deputies put out a bolo on his vehicle and Jonican was pulled over and arrested in Morgan County Georgia Wednesday morning. Barnwell investigators are going to Morgan county to extradite the suspect.
Jonican is being charged with murder. Right now police are not releasing the cause of death, and they do not have a motive for the killing.
SLED and Barnwell city are assisting in this investigation.
