ATLANTA (AP) -- A warrant for the execution of a Richmond County murderer has been signed.
The warrant signed Thursday sets the date for Mark McClain's execution as any time between noon Oct. 20 and noon Oct. 27.
McClain was sentenced to death for a 1995 murder during an armed robbery of Domino's Pizza in Augusta. McClain took $130 from the register and shot and killed the manager.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Georgia Department of Corrections will set the specific time for the lethal injection.
