AUGUSTA---Sammie Miller, Jr. has been a wanted man since he was accused of stabbing another man last month. Now he's been found at his mother's house.
The stabbing happened in the small Jefferson County town of Wadley on June 20, at a home on Brown Street.
Donald Brinkley was stabbed in the chest and face. He is recovering.
The police quickly tabbed Miller as the suspect. Chief Wesley Lewis says Miller has a long criminal record, including prison time for drug, forgery and theft convictions.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Crime Suppression Team found Miller this morning at his mother's house in Augusta. They took him to the Richmond County Jail so Wadley police can come get him.
