Argument over medicine leads to standoff in Aiken County

JACKSON, S.C.---Jackson, SC was the scene of a standoff last night between the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and Terry Lee Hornsby. The standoff came after a domestic dispute over some missing medication.

According to the victim, Hornsby pointed a handgun following an argument over the missing medication, turned away from the victim, and fired several shots into the television. The victim left the residence and called the Sheriff’s Office.

The Aiken County SWAT Team responded and attempted to talk Hornsby out of his home for several hours. Entry was finally made and Hornsby was placed under arrest at approximately 11:00 p.m. He has been charged with criminal domestic violence high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The subject is being held in the Aiken County Detention Center.
