AIKEN CTY, S.C. --- An Aiken County jury finds 28-year-old Joshua Forrest guilty of a 2005 murder and he's sentenced for life in prison without the chance of parole.
Police say Forrest was involved in a 2005 shooting death of another man outside an Elks Club in the county. At the time, deputies say Mario Reddish and Forrest had an argument over a girlfriend.
Today, the jury found Forrest guilty of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. This is his second trial as the first one came back with a hung jury.
Since this is his second most serious offense/conviction in South Carolina, Forrest was served with papers telling him if he is convicted he would be facing life in prison.
He was already in prison serving time for a prior conviction of attempted and armed robbery in 2005.
