Edgefield man arrested in North Augusta armed robbery

AIKEN, S.C.---The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office, arrested an Edgefield, S.C. man last night concerning the armed robbery that occurred at 1186 Edgefield Rd. in North Augusta, S.C. on April 15, 2009.
Rickey Brunson-52, 68 Se Diggs Rd. Trenton, S.C. is charged with Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Armed Robbery.
In an on going investigation of an armed robbery that occurred at Greg’s Gas Plus on April 15, 2009, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office investigators learned through witnesses, and the stores surveillance recordings, the identity of the subject involved in the armed robbery.
The subject is now being held in the Aiken County Detention Center.
