AUGUSTA, Ga--- A former North Augusta High School and Paul Knox Middle School Assistant Principal is behind bars accused of molesting children. Investigators say the incidents all happened between 1975 to 1977. More than 30 years later ll of this is coming to light. --

"He's a pretty decent guy, I mean he's helped us out few times, " says Jerry Collins.

"I've never had a finer person to be a neighbor,"says Jeanette Barton who has lived next door to Eubanks for over 25 years.

Jerry Collins and Jeanette Barton are both in disbelief after learning that thier next door neighbor 67-year-old Stephen Eubanks was arrested on Tuesday.

The former assistant principal at North Augusta High and Paul Knox Middle is charged with multiple counts of inappropriate sexual behavior with students. The incidents allegedly happened between 1975 and 1977 at a house on Arglye avenue in North Augusta.

Eubanks is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday. He is facing a laundry list of charges. According to the arrest warrant from the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division,Eubanks allowed a boy between 12 and 14 to drink alcohol at his home. He also allegedly allowed a 16-year old girl to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana.
The warrant also shows he had sex with the 16 year old girl.
Investigators also say he also attempted to have sex with a boy between 12 and 14 by groping and grabbed the victim in the genitals.
The warrants also state he exposed himself to a boy between 12 and 14 and that he took a child off school premises without a parents consent. All of these alleged incidents all took place in the 1970's.
