AIKEN, S.C.---An elderly Aiken woman is out about $28,000, and investigators say Jonathan Williams and Daniel Woodruff are the reason why.

Williams and Woodruff are accused of targeting the woman, telling her that work needed to be done on her home. Investigators say little if any work was done, and the men stole the money from the woman.

Both are charged with breach of trust, conspiracy, exploiting a vulnerable adult, and getting money for false reasons. They're out of jail on bond.

I wonder if they used part of the $28000 to post their bond.... what is it usually 20% of actual bond amount? Its amazing, with so many criminals able to post bond, is the court system actually making money? I'm sure the bailsbond men are.

These (word removed) were let out on bond? It's a good thing that they did not try to swindle my mother. They would never see another sunset!

Well wondering... I'm retired military (24 years)(USMC) I do stay busy at times, however since I'm home now I'm trying to get back involved as to what's going on in the community. Now if you have some suggestions as to what I should do with my time I'd be willing to hear them.

Perry, I'm just wondering, do you have a job? It seems like you post on everything possible and always try to come up with clever comments. Its just weird that you can do all this. I very well understand that its important to be involved (and know/understand) in what is going on in the world and your community. But, what, do you just have nothing better to do with your life?

i'm curious as to what kind of work they were claiming to do for that amount of money. The elderly are easy prey and we need or they need to know of a point of contact so they can inquire about things before they are swindled. A senior citizens hotline perhaps?
