AUGUSTA, Ga.---Two 17-year olds are being charged in five burglaries that have happened in recent weeks in the Pepperidge and Cambridge areas on the south side of Augusta.

Sheriff's Lieutenant Tony Walden said Thursday afternoon a second suspect is now in custody in the investigation. He's identified as Jacquez Norman.

Walden said Cyrus Dion Mincey was caught earlier after a break-in this week at a home in Pepperidge.

There have been over a dozen burglaries in those two subdivisions in recent weeks.

More charges could be upcoming.

i agree with G. if you felt so bad for the boy why not take him in yourself. there is no excuse for breaking into someone else's home! what ever the case is with the family situation, that still is no excuse for what he did. i am glad that they were caught, i can at least rest, knowing our streets are a little safer. a lot of boys in the same situation do not break into peoples homes - they go out and get a job so they will not break into peoples homes, no excuse what so ever. mcdonalds and BK are hiring everyday. i guarantee that breaking in others houses did not happen because he was "allegedly" kicked out of his. maybe he was kicked out for stealing from his momma and his stepdad or something and his momma kicked him out for his bs like g said. these young people need to grow up. when the older generations die out, america is going to be stupid especially when they think like lisa. i hate to say i will be around when that happens.

i agree with you G, plus he could have called DFAS if he was being aboused and they could have put him in a foster home where he would have been getting fed and taking care of. Sounds like a sorry excuse for getting caught, i just wished more home owners had guns, cause I enjoy hearing about the robbers who get shot!!! Can't wait til i get my chance to put a cap in one of them. I'm a bad shot (haha, yeah right) so a shotgun aimed at the head should be deadly!!!

LISA THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR BREAKING INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S HOME! IF HE WAS BRAVE ENOUGH TO BREAK INTO SOMEONE HOME FOR FOOD, WHY NOT GO TO THE GROCERY TO STEAL FOOD THERE. THERE ARE LOTS OF FOODS THERE. DO YOU NOT EVEN FEEL BAD FOR THE PEOPLE WHOSE HOME GOT BROKEN INTO? I MEAN, THE FEAR THAT IS INSTILLED IN THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. "I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIM" WHAT AN IMMATURE STATEMENT IN THIS CASE. IF A PERSON IS BOLD ENOUGH TO BREAK INTO SEVERAL HOME, I DOUBT THAT THE STEPDAD DID ANYTHING TO KICK HIM OUT. I AM SURE HIS MOM GOT TIRED OF HIS BS AT SOME POINT. I FOR SURE KNOW HE WOULD HAD A BULLET INBEWTEEN HIS EYES IF HE BROKE INTO MY HOME - I CAN SEE YOU FEEL BAD FOR HIM THEN. IF YOU KNEW HE WAS KICKED OUT AND SLEEPING ON THE STREETS,WHY NOT TAKE HIM IN AND FEED THE BOY YOUR. ARE YOU A PERSON WHO IS TAKING UP FOR HIM BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE LIKED BY HIM OR BE HIS BABY'S MOMMA? BECAUSE HONEY, YOU SURE ARE BLINDED BY THE FACTS. YOU NEED TO GROW UP AND HAVE A NEW LOOK AT THIS SITUATION.

I don't know the whole story, but I know some of the story. Lisa you are right about Cyrus' mom. It must run in her side of the family. Forsake, abandon, lie on, mistreat and abuse the hell out of your kids. Shame.

I cannot believe that Cyrus did this.

His mother should not have kicked him out. He had been sleeping out side of houses. The Cyrus I know is a respectful child. He was desperate for food and he was depressed because he felt that his mother chose his stepdad over him. Its so sad. I feel so bad for him. I feel for the people that he allegedly took from. He was not in his right state of mind.
