MCCORMICK CTY, S.C.---A specially trained dog found a a 9mm pistol officers think belonged to a man who shot at them Sunday night during a chase from Columbia County into South Carolina.
The dog, named Nero, found the fully loaded pistol with one round in the chamber and the hammer cocked.
Todd Harbuck was still in the McCormick County jail Monday. He's a suspect in several crimes, including a stolen vehicle, and deputies say the Jeep he was in was stolen.
He was first spotted on Blackstone Camp Road in Columbia County, then took off, according to officers. Shots were fired, but no one was injured.
