GREENVILLE, S.C.---Authorities in Greenville, South Carolina, have charged a 14 year old with the death and sexual assault of an eight year old girl. Today he's heading to court to face a judge for those charges.

D.N.A. tests led deputies to the boy. An autopsy shows someone choked the girl, likely someone sitting on her or kneeling on her chest. Investigators later found her in the closet of an abandoned mobile home.

The victim's mother says she last saw her daughter before she left to play with friends. Authorities say the teen lived in the same neighborhood with the 8 year old, and that it's likely he knew her.
