Suspect named in cellist's murder
A 16-year-old has been taken into custody in the murder of an Augusta Symphony cellist, and Richmond County deputies are looking for Anthony Gerome Joe Jr.

AUGUSTA, Ga.---A 16-year-old has been taken into custody in the murder of an Augusta Symphony cellist, and Richmond County deputies are looking for Anthony Gerome Joe Jr., 19, on the charges of murder and possession of a firearm during a crime.

Investigators think he shot and killed David Reader, 26, an Augusta Symphony musician, in the parking lot of a East Boundary apartment complex late Saturday.

Investigators have identified Joe l as a suspect in the murder.

Again, due to overwhelming community involvement, Investigators were able to quickly identify Joe and are now aggressively pursuing leads to take him into custody.

Joe is considered Armed and Dangerous and if anyone has information as to his whereabouts should contact the Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1080.
