AUGUSTA, Ga.-.--A three month old baby is back with his family today.

The baby was taken from a home at 528 Hines Street in Augusta Wednesday night. Deputies arrested a teenager last night.

Richmond County Investigators cannot give out the name of the suspect since she is a juvenile. News 12 has learned she is a 16 year old friend of the family. She now faces juvenile charges of kidnapping and giving false statements to police.

Deputies say they returned the baby back home about an hour after he went missing.

They say the suspect gave the baby to a person on Anderson Avenue. That person did not know the infant had been kidnapped.

The man waited for the suspect to return, and when she didn't, he called the police.

The girl is now at the Youth Detention Center.
