There is no such thing as a one million dollar bill, but investigators say that didn't stop an Augusta man from trying to open a bank account with one.

Aiken County deputies arrested 31-year-old Alexander Smith of Fairhope Street for trying to pass off the bogus bill as his own at a Regions Bank in Clearwater. He's facing charges of disorderly conduct and forgery.

In case you didn't know, the Million Dollar bill was actually a legal GOSPEL TRACT produced by Living Waters Ministry/Way of the Master. See www.wayofthemasterradio.com

He should have gone to First Citizens - they need it to bail out from the audit.

If it can be tried, then someone in this area will attempt it. I received a bogus million dollar bill recently in some type advertisement. He probably thought it was real!!!

Wow ! The wanna-be criminals in this town get more stoned and more stupid every day , huh ? Perfect example of just how drug infested we are these days ...Meredith , I sure hope that you did not have to read this one on the air ....You and Tim might have had one of your giggle fits over this one ! Keep up the good work , and you can always count on Clearwater to maintain a good supply of drunken crackhead misfits to provide "real news "

Now this was just plain old stupid. Knowing there is no million dollar out there. Guess some folks just dont use the sense they were born with.
