LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A Gwinnett County grand jury has
indicted a 17-year-old charged with throwing a bleach-filled
balloon at another teen.
Authorities say Juan Carlos Flores and three other boys targeted
14-year-old Miguel Mesa as he walked home from Lilburn Middle
School on the last day of school in May.
The balloon temporarily blinded Mesa, though the teens say they
only wanted to ruin his clothes.
Flores was charged with two counts of aggravated battery.
Prosecutors say they will try three other high school students who
were with Flores as juveniles.
