AUGUSTA, Ga. --- An Augusta man was sentenced yesterday to 350 months in prison for drug charges.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Georgia, Reginald Darrell Beale was sentenced earlier this week by Judge J. Randal Hall. After the 350 months in prison, Beale will be on federal supervised release for five years.
During sentencing, evidence was presented that revealed Beale to be a leader of a drug organization operating in the Dogwood Terrace public housing community. This organization was responsible for distributing up to 15 kilograms of cocaine in Augusta. This was not his first conviction for drugs. He had been convicted previously for drug trafficking in the same housing community several years earlier.
Beale’s case was investigated by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and included officers from the FBI, GBI, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles.
