GROVETOWN, Ga. -- Beside changing your oil or a tire in your garage, have you ever modified anything in there? Better yet, has National Geographic acknowledged you for it?

Chris Krug of Grovetown can answer yes to both of these questions. Krug, owner of Krug Technologies, will appear on the new show "Mad Scientists" on the National Geographic Channel.

Krug, who worked for an industrial company in Switzerland before starting his own business, got the chance to showcase his talent and creativity on the network's new series.

On the show, he created a high-powered lawn tool with his expertise in mounting strong engines onto vehicles such as a scooter and his prized modified van.

Because Krug has a passion for observing how things work, he was more than willing to be on "Mad Scientists" to help out the new series and showcase his skills.

The episode with Krug aired Wednesday night on the National Geographic Channel.
