AIKEN -- Golfers got their clubs and form ready for the 17th Annual E-Z-Go Golf Classic sponsored by E-Z-Go Textron.
The event raised money for the First Tee of Aiken and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the CSRA.
Participants could contribute by sponsoring a hole, forming a team or donating an item for the silent auction.
The tournament sold raffle tickets to give participants a chance to win an E-Z-Go among a variety of other prizes.
Over the duration of the annual tournament, E-Z-Go has managed to raise over $750,000 for charities and community organizations.
Last year, the First Tee received $13,774 from the proceeds which went toward new equipment and expanded programming. Organizers say that this year's goal is $30,000 so that the program can reach even more children throughout the CSRA.
Even though the weather was not golf friendly, participants and organizers still played for a great cause.
