Voices & Vibes: Annual Cut-A-Thon benefits Children's Medical Center

EVANS, Ga. -- Have you ever gotten a haircut that had an impact on the community?

Great Clips offered patrons $5 haircuts through their annual Cut-A-Thon. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Medical Center in Augusta.

Originally starting in the Atlanta market, three Great Clips locations throughout the CSRA have participated in raising money through hair cuts to help the CMC buy new technologies and other needs for their hospital.

One of the many supplies that the contributions helped the medical center acquire is the Giraffe Bed for premature infants.

Last year, they raised approximately $2900 and have set a goal of $5000 for this year’s Cut-A-Thon.

Employees from all three CSRA stores got the opportunity to visit the children’s hospital and see the difference that their contributions made.

The C-M-C is a nonprofit hospital, so the help of individuals and local businesses in the community is important when helping these children.
