January 13 @ 12:45pm: Aiken Technical College - Gregg-Graniteville Student Activity Center. Speaker is Susan L. Taylor, award-winning former editor of Essence Magazine.

January 14 @ 11:00am: Carrie J. Mays Community Center, 1014 11th Ave. Hosted by Augusta Recreation & Parks Dept. Guest speaker is Rev. K.B.Martin, Antioch Baptist Church.

January 15 @ Noon: Paine College - Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel. Speaker will be Rev. James Lawson

January 16 @ 1pm: NAACP Augusta Branch presents the MLK Parade. Starts at Dyess Park COmm. Center, south on James Brown Blvd., west on Wrightsboro Road, north onto Augusta Ave. Then east on Laney Walker Blvd., North on 11th Street, and finally east on D'Antignac Street.

January 18 @ 7:30am: MLK Unity Breakfast at the Marriott. Keynote speaker is State Rep. Alisha Thomas-Morgan. Will also present "Unity Award".

January 18 @ 3pm: Friendship Community Center, 1720 Central Avenue - NAMI MLK Holiday Reception and Potluck dinner.

January 18 @ 6:30pm: Augusta Branch, NAACP - 36th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet at the DoubleTree. 100 years-Bold Dreams, Big Victories. Commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin L. King Jr.
