Georgia DDS accepts donations for firefighters
Employees at the state Department of Driver Services are asking citizens to donate items for firefighters battling wildfires in south Georgia. Collection boxes are set up at DDS Customer Service Centers around the state.

    Why are you and the other stations in the area(working together) not planning to continue this collection past the Wed DDS deadline for the collection of these items? Some of us do not get paid till the first and the fires will not be out by then according to the current repots. I am certain it is more convenient for many us to bring the items to you in NA than to drive all the wsy out to S Aug to deliver them.I personally do not go in that direction unless I am heading for the cemetery.
