The weekend fun doesn't end with Funky First Friday. We've got everything from lobster races to a barbecue cook-off and live concerts.

It's not every day you see a military mariachi group, but you can this weekend at Fort Gordon, as the base celebrates Cinco de Mayo with the public.

The Cinco de Mayo fiesta is fun for the whole family, with rides, traditional food, and even salsa dancing.

But if mariachi isn't your tune, head on over to the new USC Aiken Convocation Center Saturday night for a Kenny Rogers concert.

In North Augusta, you can go to the Hammin' and Jammin' festival at the Hippodrome. Gates open at 10 as the teams get ready for the barbecue cook-off and the festival ends with a concert from Blue Dogs and headliner Aaron Tippin.

Across the river at Augusta Riverfront Marina, Kicks 99 hosts a Day in the Country on Sunday. It kicks off with performances from Billy Currington, John Michael Montgomery and Luke Bryan. Tickets are $15 dollars ahead of time and $20 at the door.

But if water sports are more your speed, there will be a rowing regatta on Langley Pond Saturday from 7 am till 1 in the afternoon.

Or if you prefer some crustacean action, check out the Lobster Races in Aiken. It's slow-paced fun for a good cause.

Proceeds from the Lobster Race benefit Hitchcock Healthcare, Tri Development and the Aiken County Special Olympics. It's nail biting action sure to put a smile on your face.
