HEPHZIBAH, Ga.---A Waynesboro school cafeteria worker has a million more reasons to smile tonight.
Daisy May Atwell is a million dollar winner in the Georgia Lottery.
She won playing a $300 million Gold Rush scratch off ticket.
She got the oversized check this morning at Bi-Rite in Hephzibah, where she bought the ticket.
Ms. Atwell says she wants to buy a new home, a new car, and then spend, spend, spend.
"I said, 'Lord, I don't know what I'm going to do right now.' At first I had been shocked for a while, I didn't believe it. I asked my son to look at it again," she told News 12.
Ms. Atwell says she likes her job at the high school, and plans on keeping it.
The payout is $50,000 a year.
