The Columbia County Health Department advises that they are now out of their first shipment of flu vaccinations and that they will have to re-schedule the remaining flu clinics planned for October.

On Monday, 518 citizens received the flu vaccination, which was an outstanding response. The last of this first supply was exhausted by 10:00 a.m. this morning.

However, Columbia County Health Department Director Phyllis Roland advises that the Columbia County Health Department is scheduled to receive 3,500 doses of the vaccine, to be delivered in stages, so there will be plenty of vaccinations for everyone who wants one. There will not be a shortage this year. Mrs. Roland will disseminate the new schedule for flu clinics as soon as she gets the next supply of vaccinations, which will most likely be near the end of October.
