Pamela Rascon of Shepeard Community Blood Center tells News 12 there is an urgent need for type O blood in the Augusta community.
"O negative is the Universal blood type and anyone can receive this blood type. However, when patients are in critical condition with over 60% of their bodies burned, O negative blood is their fighting chance at life," Rascon said in a statement.
