Many people use their treadmills as clothes hangers in their homes or to store things on in the garage. This is probably the most common piece of exercise equipment in the world. Treadmills are popular because everyone knows how to walk. It's a natural movement and very beneficial for the heart and muscles.

It's a weight-bearing exercise so your muscles are also getting trained when you walk. Adding an incline increases your caloric output even more.

It's also a fall risk. We've all seen videos of people falling off of treadmills. Make sure that you always use the emergency safety clip that is provided.
