AN UPDATE ON A DIFFERENT TYPE OF "MATCH DAY" AT MCG....NO, THIS ISN'T ABOUT MATCHING MCG STUDENTS TO OTHER CITIES.... THIS IS ABOUT MATCHING COMPANIES WITH THE MISSION OF THE MEDICAL COLLEGE.....

Ten teams from the community will be out visiting 100 companies to ask them to lend some financial support. They'll be educating business owners and execs on MCG's mission of education, research, and service. The hope is these donations will go to the President's Innovative Fund used for the most pressing needs at MCG which could include scholarships... and equipment purchases or whatever is needed to improve health and reduce the burden of illness in society.
You may not know MCG is in the top 10% of so in terms of affordable tuition amongst medical schools across the country.

Here is an update on a new business we've been following. Slingers' down home southern diner is focusing on its fort gordon location and they have turned over the reins to a new restaurant here on North Leg Road.
The new restaurant and catering facility is called Break 4 Lunch and the buzz is they will serve breakfast as well. The focus will also be on catering from this facility....which used to be a Slingers and a long time ago...one of Gary's Hamburger spots.
