Happy 50th anniversary to Kroger… and what a way to throw a party today….opening their new spot, which is a bit of a cross between a big box discount center and a fresh foods grocer….with Kroger staples in between…
On the outside, this looks a lot like newly redone Krogers in Aiken and Evans and by the Augusta Mall….there’s a Starbucks and some other retailers to the left…and the buzz is they’ll begin to try to split up and lease out the old Kroger space to more merchants…..
Inside expect a Publix like Sushi and Olive Bar… and a Wal mart like kitchen section with pots, pans, plates, and much, much more……
The supermarket opens in less than ten minutes and the new pharmacy opens in two hours at 9am….
Very Vera is getting ready for a busy Masters golf tournament…hiring more than 150 people to take care of catering events, just like this one from 2005………
They are also taking reservations for the kids cooking camp for the 5th straight year.
Kids get to learn from Vera how to prepare 5 or 6 recipes a day…etiquette…and how to prepare big meals for family…which they’ll do at the end of the week
More information can be found here at veryveradot com….plus up on screen some more info…
The Cooking Camp goes from EARLY JUNE to LATE JULY and costs between $225-250 for one week at the camp.
There is an OPEN HOUSE APRIL 24TH to answer questions.
