Swapping during the holidays (and a recipe)

I heard a neat idea the other day and it could be expanded upon to make your holidays.... more enjoyable.

The story I heard was to make a deal with a friend - I'll bake you cookies if you wrap my presents.  Not a bad deal if you enjoy baking and they love wrapping.  And if you do it together, it can be fun too.

Now, take this a little further and swap for other things.  Decorate the tree, decorate the outside of the house, baked goodies, make candy, wrap presents... no one likes to do all of them except Martha Stewart and Bree from Desparate Housewives!!

In the past, I've had cooking baking parties.  Everyone that comes brings either the dough or ingredients for a double batch of their favorite cookies.  You spend the day together making them and divide the results!  To make even more goodies, mix in some things like Peanut Butter Bark (recipe below), Fudge and other items that don't use the oven and you'll have a bunch of goodies to get you through the holidays!

Peanut Butter Bark

Chop up about 1/2 cup of peanuts for topping while still warm.  Melt one 12-ounce bag of peanut butter chips with one 12-ounce bag of milk chocolate chips.  Stir in 1 cup of lightly salted peanuts.  Spread on a foil covered cookie sheet to a reasonable thickness.  Sprinkle with chopped peanuts.  Cool in the fridge for about an hour. Take out and break into serving sized pieces.
