If you want some help with your holiday shopping – try some of the online Comparison Shopping sites. There are a lot of them and they’re designed to help you find the best price on the items you’re looking for. You can actually use these sites year-round. It just seems like the holiday shopping season is when they’re used the most.
One of the best features of all of these sites is reviews. People who have purchased the product and come back to rate it.
is a great site. Multiple categories, easy search, and hot deals all right there. This site also has links for Rebates, Merchants coupons and a Deal of the Day button. Today’s deal was a 42” Plasma TV for $529.00
Another well-known site is NexTag.com
. NexTag has a more extensive category list and even includes travel rates. The one thing I’m a little cautious of on NexTag is it sends you to other web sites when you click an item, but it does show you where you will be going. Original pricing and expiration of any sale prices are listed clearly on the item page.
One site that includes Ebay in their search is Shopping.com
. The reviews section is extensive so you can figure out what others say about the product. We’ve used Epinions.com
for years – it’s considered a “shopping.com company”. When you have items that have, for example, over 1,500 reviews, you have a great resource at your fingertips. Shopping.com has a program where you can writer reviews. After 5 reviews, you get $5!
A lot of the comparison sites have functions to narrow down your search by brand, price, color, and more depending on the item. They’re a great tool for sniffing out the good deals and they cost you nothing.
