Most people only look at sites like www.coupons.com
for their coupons. What they don’t realize is there are so many manufacturer’s web sites out there and within these sites you can find more coupons and promotions to help you save money. Initially, it’s time consuming to find the coupons but in the long run, it’s well worth it.
No matter what web browser you use, there is always a place to mark your favorites. When you find a manufacturer’s coupon section of their web site, add it! Then, when there’s something on sale for that company, you can quickly see if there is a coupon.
Finding the section is sometimes tricky. What I do is first search for the main web site. If it’s for something like Hunt’s Ketchup, type “Hunt’s Ketchup” in the search block. Make sure you put it in quotations and that eliminates a lot of sites that aren’t applicable. As tempting as it is to go to Hunt’s Ketchup coupons, stick with the main site first.
Now, look for a tab or button on the site that says coupons or promotions. On the www.huntsketchup.com
it’s Promotions located in the upper right. Currently, there are no promotions, but add it to your favorites anyway so you can check back in the future.
You can always go back to your search engine and search for Hunt’s Ketchup coupons to see if there are any out there. But this lesson is just on setting up your favorites of manufacturer’s sites.
Some companies have a registration page – like ConAgra
which is the main company for a lot of things like Eggbeaters, Ro-tel, Hebrew National, La Choy, Marie Callendar and Orville Redenbacher. By registering on their web site, you get access to offers, menu plans, recipe box and a newsletter that contains money saving ideas. A lot of sites are like that – Betty Crocker
, and Kraft Foods
are a few examples.
Come back tomorrow for a starter list of web sites to start adding as favorites. And get started on maxing your money!
