I am so proud of my husband!  All my months of yammering on and on about saving money has sunk in!

He was shopping for landscape timbers and found them in a sales circular for one place for $1.97.  Well, he didn't want to drive there - it's the opposite direction of home.  So, he went to a competitor and asked about their price match policy.  Turned out it was same price less 10%!  So, he got them for about $1.77 a piece (incidently, they were being sold at that store for $3.97!).

So, before you go out shopping - do a little digging.  Who has price match?  Who offers price match plus a bonus?  Take your documentation with you - proof of the price at the other store and a copy of the price match policy for the store you are buying at.

Who knows, next week the hubby may find a buy one get one free AND use a coupon!
