McCormick County deputy shot in hand has been released from hospital

AUGUSTA Ga.-- A McCormick County Sheriff's Deputy who was shot in the hand has returned home and we're told he is doing okay.
Deputy Bobby Rushton was responding to a shots fired call early Sunday morning at a home on President's Drive.
He was shot in the hand with a high powered rifle.
Rushton starting working with the McCormick County Sheriff's Office in 1998 but left to train officers in Iraq. He was just rehired, and Saturday night was his first day back on the force.
Officers were able to arrest the suspect Joe Worley.
