In this "What's Going Around?" report, we are hearing from Dr. Mark Newton at Doctors Hospital.
He says he's seeing more patients with serious pneumonia. Symptoms include: fever, cough, sweats and a shortness of breath.
It is important to make sure you stay home if you are sick. Pneumonia can be very serious in children, older people and those with asthma or COPD.
There is some good news to report. Doctor Newton says he is not seeing a lot of flu cases. He says more people are getting the vaccine and not getting sick.
